The Chalmers University of Technology Research Supervisor of the Year 2017/2018 Award is granted to Christian Fager, Professor at the department of Microtechnology  and Nanoscience. He is constantly working on refining his supervision skills of his numerous PhD students. Apart from high responsiveness, tailored supervision approaches and research advising, Christian provides significant support to his PhD students’ personal growth, career opportunities and overcoming hurdles they encounter in other aspects of their research education/life as PhD students. His efforts have been noticed by both his PhD students, who experienced the positive effects of his supervision, and senior researchers within his own department and outside of it.
